Technical difficulties

Working on a new post but haven't been able to load pictures. I think my computer has a virus, will post one with Chiristmas and cakes asap.

Dedication

On Sunday November 27 we had Tatum's dedication at church. We did the same time that my niece/ Tatum's cousin Maci also got dedicated. It was a very exciting day. After the service we had a luch with the families. Our families are so supportive and we love them to death. I made the cakes. They turned out ok but weren't my favorite.

Thanksgiving

Yea, I am a little behind but thought I would let you know how our first Thanksgiving with a child was. Well, it was amazing!! I feel like there was so much more to be thankful for. It is crazy how much one little guy can change your life. We had Thanksgiving with my family on Thanksgiving and then with the Kidwells on the Saturday after. I also went shopping Thursday/Friday with my sisters. That was a long night. We started on Thursday at 9:00 pm and went until 9:30am on Friday. Wish I could say that I got all my shopping done, but that is not the case. Oh well, it was still fun! I didn't get too many pictures of Thanksgiving but here are a couple.

Tatum's Newborn Pictures

Ok, so this is a little ridiculous but I am finally going to post some of Tatum's newborn pictures. We got them done by JLS photography. They also did our maternity pictures. Let's just say that maternity ones went much better than Tate's newborn. We had a date scheduled and they wanted him sleeping. I tried so hard the whole day to hold him off as much as I could from sleeping. So I thought this is going to work out great! we got there and he woke up. He would not go back to sleep and every time we put him down to get pictures he would cry. He wanted nothing to do with it. So after a little over 2 hours of trying we decided to reschedule. The second time was pretty much the same. We did get some good ones before he woke up and when he would let us put him down. Thank you to Brandy and Jason for their patience.

Halloween Pictures

Well I decided to get some pictures of Tatum taken in his costume. My sister did it with her kids and she puts them out every Halloween as decorations. (Thanks for the idea Manda) Our first couple of experiences getting Tate's pictures did not go so well. We wanted some newborn ones and they wanted him sleeping. He did not sleep and it went so bad we had to come back. Let's just say the second time did not go much better. Anyways, I will post some of those when I get them back. On the other hand these went great! He slept pretty much the whole time and let us move him all around! Here is a couple of my favorites. (sorry they are a little fuzzy b/c they are from Sears site, plus I am new at this and learning the best way to do it)

 

Where do I begin?

I thought I would give this blog thing a try. I have a lot going on in my life and thought maybe I could keep track of everything on here, but where do I begin?

Well if you don't know I just recently had a beautiful baby boy. Tatum Matthew was born on September 23, 2011! He is a very healthy growing boy. I am adjusting to being a Mom and having my whole world revolve around someone besides me! I am loving all of it except for the nursing, if you know me you know why. Poor boy, I just dread feedings! Other than a little gas and acid reflex things are going good.

As many of you also know I really enjoy baking cakes. I haven't done any recently because of Tatum but I thought I would post some of my favorites that I have done in the past. 

I will also start Middle School Cheer on November 7. So that will keep me busy and probably pretty stressed for a couple months. But, at least I can get out of the house for a couple hours.

I plan to keep this updated when anything exciting or interesting happens. I will also put any new cakes I do. (Hopefully I can stay on top of it and not get too far behind!)
